Jenny Taing OAM is a Principal at KHQ, a law firm based in Melbourne where she leads the financial services practice. Jenny has a particular interest in funds management and ETFs and helping clients launch new financial products onto the ASX and Cboe Australia. She enjoys advising on corporate and regulatory matters, assisting clients to apply for an Australian Financial Services (AFS) licence and advising on corporate governance matters.

As the eldest daughter of refugees, public school educated and the first in her family to go to university, Jenny has a strong sense of public duty and community service. Passionate about her community, Jenny has been sitting on boards and committees for almost two decades. From her Mum’s experience at the emergency department of The Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital where Jenny saw the challenges of those from refugee and multicultural backgrounds in hospital settings, Jenny as a young law graduate, joined the hospital’s Community Advisory Committee and medical research committees. In 2012, she was appointed a Board member of The Royal Victorian Eye & Hospital by the Victorian Health Minister, at the age 29, making her the youngest to ever serve on a hospital board in Victoria.

With her passion for multiculturalism and refugee issues, in 2010 at the age of 27, Jenny was appointed by the Premier of Victoria as a Commissioner of the Victorian Multicultural Commission, providing advice to the Premier and State Government on multicultural policy.

Today, Jenny is a recognised business and community leader in Australia. As a strong believer of the power of sport in bringing communities together, Jenny is on the board of AFL Victoria, Chair of the Western Bulldogs Football Club Community Foundation and Chair of its Finance, Audit and Risk Committee. Jenny is also a member of the Western Bulldogs Ethics & Integrity Committee. Having previously served on the board of Screen Australia, Jenny is also currently on the board of VicScreen. She recently completed almost a decade on the board of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra), serving through the global pandemic.

Jenny received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) on Queen's Birthday 2020, for service to the financial and investment sectors, and to the community.

Outside of work and her leadership and community commitments, Jenny is a busy Mum and enjoys going to the footy, cricket and travelling with her husband and two children.
